Something that lasts a long time. Something that survives the test of time, over decades or even centuries, and continues to exist, is of real value. It may be visible, or it may not be visible. You are free to spend your time on whatever you choose, but it might be good to spend it on something that will last longer than a human lifetime. There are things that disappear without a trace as time passes, and things that continue to exist, no matter how much the times change, technological innovation advances, and people’s lifestyles and appearances change.
